Glenmark is a global leader in the development and commercialization of generic drugs of the highest quality and value. During this evolving COVID-19 pandemic, Glenmark strives to provide an uninterrupted supply of the high-quality medicines we deliver; while also continuing to improve peoples’ lives every day by helping to reduce their healthcare costs.

Our U.S.-based warehouse in Mahwah, New Jersey, continues to operate efficiently in order to get our products into the hands of our patients and customers. Additionally, our manufacturing sites in Goa, Indore, and Aurangabad, India are working hard to keep packing lines running smoothly in order to meet delivery timelines to the U.S.

We know patients rely on us, therefore our primary goal is to operate in a way that builds trust, especially in uncertain times.

GLENMARK’S COMMITMENT TO THEIR LOCAL COMMUNITIES:

Supporting our local school districts in New York and New Jersey

In light of so many families struggling to put food on the table during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Glenmark USA team is donating to the Passaic County School District in New Jersey, as well as the Monroe Woodbury School District in New York, to assist in keeping the school lunch programs available for students who rely on this service during the school year. Nationwide millions of students living in poverty rely on the federal government for a free or reduced price lunch. In New York, more than one out of two students rely on the federal school lunch program; in New Jersey, just over one out of three students rely on free or reduced price lunches. With so many children relying on their schools to provide meals, the closures due to the novel coronavirus put the ability to access food at risk.

Supporting local families in need of food assistance in New Jersey

The Glenmark USA team is donating funds to the Center for Food Action in Mahwah, New Jersey. Donations from local businesses and communities allow the Center for Food Action to “nourish those in need throughout northern New Jersey; it will keep bellies full and the lights on for our neighbors in crisis” says Patricia Espy, CFA Executive Director.

Glenmark USA continues to look for opportunities to make a difference where we can.

Glenmark’s Commitment on a Global Scale:

Glenmark Foundation pledges to contribute to building a more resilient healthcare system

During this global health crisis, Glenmark Foundation has committed support to Kasturba Hospital in Maharashtra through provision of “Personal Protective Equipment” or PPE to medical staff. PPE includes medical masks and gowns, gloves, eye protection gear, sanitizers, etc. The state of Maharashtra has so far recorded the highest number of coronavirus cases in India, and most testing is being undertaken at the government’s Kasturba Hospital.
The Foundation is also working closely with its beneficiaries and the community to offer counsel and psychological support to lactating mothers and pregnant women. Since these women are more vulnerable to infections such as COVID-19, we are guiding this group towards a safe and healthy journey of motherhood.

Food aid for migrant and daily wage workers in Madhya Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh in India

Migrants and daily wagers are amongst the most vulnerable populations in India during pandemics such as COVID-19. We are proud to share that the Glenmark Indore team has teamed up with local administration to provide 10,000 meals for daily wage earners in Indore. Similarly, the Glenmark team in Himachal Pradesh has pledged support for 5000 migrant workers including their families, and is providing them with essential food grains through the local administration.
